When you have coaching for a sport, whether that be martial arts, golf etc, often the coach will look at your technique and go “you’re doing it all wrong!” and then you find that each coach has their own theory on how it should be done. Even claiming other coaches don’t know what they’re talking about, but when you look at all these different techniques and theories, at that moment where it counts, whether it’s contact with your opponent, or with that golf ball, they all get you to essentially the same place.
Leadership is very much like this. You can be quiet and gentle, or you can be loud and angry. You need to find your style and find what plays not only to your strengths but also to that of your team’s.
