Weddings are a ringin’

My old friend Alvin from seconday school got married on the weekend. It’s strange to see someone you’ve known for so long and from so long ago getting married. There were quite a few people from school there and being together with them made it feel like no time at all had passed. I think back and can’t help but wonder where did all the time go. Where have the last ten years gone? Am I where I thought I’d be when I thought about the future back then? I can’t remember where I thought I’d be or what I’d be doing when I was 16. I don’t think I’ve let the time slip through my hands, but I feel I could have achieved so much more. Perhaps the symolism of the wedding and with yesterday being my birthday, it made the whole “Where has the time gone” thing stronger in my mind!

It was a great day. The wedding was really nice and the ten course meal afterwards was overwhelming. Although, as it was a Chinese wedding, some of the food choices weren’t to my liking, such a fish stomach or fried chicken head. The chicken was nice though ;) Alvin and Chuu Yee looked really happy and they make a really good couple. So all the best to them for the rest of their future together! I didn’t take any photos of the day as I knew there would be a million people there with digital cameras anyways. So for the time being you’ll have to do with photos of the new shirt and tie I wore!

If you look closely you can see the pattern on the fabric…
